A new Blockchain solution has been created focusing on introducing viable solutions in logistics and other industries. It is an implementation born out of a partnership between the Waves and GHP Group.
Both industry leaders, Alexander Ivanov of Waves and his counterpart, Mark Garber of GHP Group, jointly announced the partnership which is known as Global Chain. The aim is to transform the supply chain processes, which begins with the logistics industry.
New Level For Existing Partnership
According to Ivanov, Logistics is one of the most promising areas for adopting solutions based on Blockchain technology. Therefore, the reason why the initial focus of the collaboration will focus on this area.
He, however, made it clear that with time, the partnership will go ahead in the execution of joint projects in other industries. Garber, on the other hand, acknowledges this as a new dimension that his earlier partnership with Ivanov has reached.
In his opinion, it is a collaboration that has graduated to another level requiring a new approach. Hence to him, Ivanov will bring forward his expertise in the implementation of vertically integrated projects within the framework of the Global Chain joint venture.
“We anticipate synergy from our expertise in large-scale strategic projects and Alexander’s experience in Blockchain technologies,” Garber remarked.
Waves Enterprise replaces Vostok
Global Chain will have its main office in Moscow, Russia, and operate as Grobalchain Ltd. Both Ivanov and Garber own equal shares in it.
However, the head of the company will be Ivanov. All projects on Global Chain will launch via the Waves Blockchain platform.
Even projects that had begun on the Vostok platform before this partnership shall rebrand to operate under Waves Enterprise. Going forward, the Vostok brand is no longer in existence.
Alexander Ivanov, a physicist by training, is a tech entrepreneur and founder of Waves Platform, which developed a protocol for operation of decentralised applications (dApp) and other blockchain solutions. Its division Waves Enterprise works on solutions for the corporate and public sectors.
